Making a difference to children in Dominase

Buriton’s ‘Village-to-Village’ charity has received a wonderful letter of thanks from the Ghana Education Service.

The officials, who are responsible for the education of children in hundreds of villages like Dominase, wrote to say thank you: “in appreciation of all the support that the VV Group has given to our District (Dominase Circuit) over the years. No other group or persons have given such an immense support, and we are very grateful.”

The letter goes on to explain that "Through your support of supplying supplementary reading books, and organisation of reading competitions, pupils now take reading seriously.

“And results show that children’s standards are improving. Teachers also benefit because they can now change their lesson plans to include more variety and greater learning."

This letter will help the Group get more funding from charitable trusts and it shows how the money from Buriton is making a real difference to children’s lives in Dominase.
