Would you like to be involved in your local community?

The elections in May resulted in only six people on Buriton Parish Council – which means that there are three vacancies. Might you be interested!?

You do not need to have any particular skills or experience – just a passion to make a difference in the parish, including Weston.

Meetings are held every two months in the evening, although there may be additional evening meetings in-between.

The vacancies will be filled by co-option and will be considered at a Parish Council meeting to be held on Monday 29th July 2019.

If you would like to discuss the role and want to know what is involved please contact the Parish Clerk, Petra Norris, email Buritonparishcouncil@hotmail.co.uk or telephone 07943 536065. Or you could speak to any of the current Parish Councillors: Lynne Ashcroft, Andrew Bray, Tim Crew, Maggie Johnston, Doug Jones or Karen White.

To apply please supply a short letter of introduction to the Parish Clerk, giving your current address, why you would like to be considered and how you could contribute to your local community.

The closing date for all applications is noon on Monday 8th July 2019.

Information about the Parish Council (and dates of forthcoming meetings) are available on the community website at: http://www.buriton.info/parish-council
