Have your say
Hampshire County Council is consulting about potential changes to bus services in the county. They currently spend £3.5 million pa on supporting services but they are looking to save £800,000 from next year.
Information can be found here (www.hants.gov.uk/passenger-transport-consultation) and comments need to be submitted to HCC by 24th July.
Before giving your views, people are being encouraged to read an Information Pack and there is also an Easy Read version of the Information Pack. People can fill in an online Response Form or, if you prefer to complete the Response Form offline, a printable version of the form is available.
If anyone needs a paper copy of the Information Pack or the Response Form (or if you have any queries about the consultation) please contact firstname.lastname@example.org or call: 0300 555 1388. You can also email your response directly to Hampshire County Council using the email address email@example.com.
The last time that there was a similar consultation (with potential threats to the Buriton 94 bus service) the community rallied round and submitted many important comments to HCC to help make sure that the 94 service wasn’t axed or significantly reduced (thus retaining the service for all those who need or choose to use it).
Please help to make sure that those who rely on the local bus service are aware of this consultation – and help them to make views known.
