Annual bluebell walk is a real treat
About 70 parishioners, family and friends were treated to a delightful stroll along farm paths not normally open to the public - including a magnificent show of bluebells and some impressive Early Purple orchids.
Fun Quiz Night: "What the ... ?!"
Over 100 villagers and friends have booked places for Buriton's popular antidote to ordinary Quiz Nights: Saturday 14th May, 7.30pm in Buriton Village Hall.
Buriton Wine Challenge
This is the third Buriton Wine Challenge in aid of the AGSD-UK. Funds raised will sponsor Allan Muir to take part in a slightly more demanding challenge - a 1500 mile cycle ride from Pompey to Pompeii in September. All funds raised from the event will go towards supporting families living with Pompe and related ultra-rare diseases and to promote research into improved care and treatments.
Christian Aid Week Starts Sunday 15 May
As always, Buriton will be supporting this anuual fund-raising drive for the poor and disadvantaged. Christian Aid aims to attract support for its projects not just from the church community but from all quarters. Collection envelopes will be distributed in advance and collected house-to-house.
1st Beer - men only!
First Beer: Sunday June 1st at 8.00pm. at The Five Bells. A chance for the men of Buriton to get together for a drink and some intelligent conversation. Starting subject: Drugs, Doctors and Diseases.
