?Flushed with Pride? on Wednesday 18th March

A light hearted look at the history of sanitation and the significant part the British have played in its development. Not to be missed: don't poo-poo it!

Bill Gosney is an entertaining and amusing speaker – and he just happens to know a lot about toilets.

Trained as an engineer, he spent the last thirty years of his working life involved with sanitation. Since retiring three years ago he has been able to enjoy his passions for local history as a Trustee of Petersfield Museum, a committee member of Petersfield Historical Society and the incoming Chairman of Petersfield Decorative and Fine Arts Society ( NADFAS).

Bill has also been a long-time supporter of Buriton’s links with Dominase in rural Ghana and his talk will conclude with thought-provoking questions about why, even today, 40% of the world’s population is without even basic sanitation and what progress is being made to remedy the situation.

Admission is free with a retiring collection in aid of Buriton’s work in Dominase.

The talk starts at 7.30pm on Wednesday 18th March in St Mary's Church, whilst the village hall is closed for repairs.

Guaranteed not to be a bog standard talk – if you miss it you’re potty.

If you would like to help Dominase by making a small donation every month, please click on the leaflet below and simply return the Standing Order form at the end.
