First new National Trail signs are installed near Buriton

Towards the end of February, the South Downs National Park Authority installed the very first of a new design of South Downs Way fingerposts above the village.

The new, eye-catching signs are intended to help build on the identity of the National Trail and the National Park as well as providing more informative for the public by displaying icons for the user-types that can legally use the rights of way.

People will start to see more of these pop up across the South Downs Way as other old signs are replaced over the next few years: but you saw it here first!
