Thanks to the generosity of villagers and sponsors, school libraries in Buriton’s sister village are likely to benefit from another boost of books
With almost 120 people packed into the village hall in October, Paul and Jill Martin provided another entertaining evening which teased everyone’s brain cells whilst raising hundreds of pounds for projects in Dominase.
A short presentation before the start of the quiz illustrated the impressive range of achievements which the small charity has completed over the last twelve months – and explained the priority for funding for 2018.
As well as raising a total of £1,460 from the evening’s activities, the event also attracted yet more ‘regular giving’ donors who, between them, will kindly provide an extra £200 every year.
Thanks to the generosity of one family in the parish (who kindly cover any direct expenses incurred in the charity's work) every penny of all the money raised for Dominase is spent 'on the ground' on projects which benefit the local community.
