Buriton's annual antidote to ordinary quiz nights launched a new 'regular giving' initiative for the community's link with Dominase - and raised almost ?1,000 for West African children.

With the village hall being 'out of action' this popular charity Quiz Night was held in the magnificent Tithe Barn, Ditcham (courtesy of Jeremy & Margaret Oates).

The venue provided a splendid backdrop for a highly entertaining evening, orchestrated as usual by Paul Martin.

The launch of a new fund-raising initiative saw an encouraging start to a programme of regular giving (by Standing Order) which will help the charity plan its support for the future:

  • £1 a month buys a reading book for a child every month
  • £2 a month buys books to boost school libraries
  • £5 a month buys a household toilet for a family every year - or enough school books for a whole classroom of children every year.

If you would like to help in this way, please click on the leaflet at the foot of this page and simply return the Standing Order form at the end.
