Due to the success of the Buriton calendar over the last few years, it's been decided to do it again and the closing date for entries is the day of the Village Show: Saturday 20th August.
As in the past, the aim is to produce a calendar of attractive pictures from the Parish - and we'll need photos reflecting each season of the year ?
You can submit photographs that you've taken in previous years. So, dig out some of your favourite snaps.
What makes Buriton special for you? Local life, attractive scenes, memorable moments? We're interested in anything that you'd like to see hanging on a wall for a month at a time ?
Pictures can be given to either Elaine Bray or Doug Jones - as hard copies, on CDs or via email: elaine.bray@btconnect.com or doug.pam@btinternet.com All proceeds from the calendar will go towards helping disadvantaged people in Buriton's sister community of Dominase in Ghana.
Please make sure your photos are 'landscape' format so as to fit in with the layout of the calendar and please try to make the task of choosing the 12 to be featured as hard as possible for us!
We are always looking for something that's a bit different or slightly off the beaten track, as well as the traditional areas of the parish that we all love.
In addition this year, to encourage all budding photographers, there will be a prize for the top photograph submitted by anyone under the age of 10. If you fall into this category please make sure you let us know your age.
