There will be a range of activities for all the family throughout the day in this new community resource:
- A professional storyteller will tell tales of life as a quarryman – plus a chance for children to dress up and join in (12.30pm)
- Hands-on art activities and a ‘chalk challenge’ using local materials
- A self-guided “Chalk Pits Explorer” Family Quiz
- A moth and bug hunt
- Guided walks around the site explaining the local history and the natural history of the site (11.30am and 2.30pm)
New leaflets and maps of the site will be available to all visitors and there will be a small exhibition in Buriton Village Hall.
Great family fun - and an opportunity to learn about a new local resource on our doorstep.
