at the Monthly Coffee Morning
The next in the series of coffee mornings will be held in the Village Hall from 10.30am to 12.30. Pop in for a chat, tea, coffee and cake – and more. Everybody is guaranteed a warm welcome!
This month there’ll be information about Hedgehogs and the start of a Repair Café initiative for Buriton.
With hungry hedgehogs emerging from their winter hibernation recently they’ll be on the hunt for plenty of food to replenish their fat reserves before the breeding season, which starts this month.
Like so many species of wildlife, the hedgehog population in this country is in terrible decline. There’ll be plenty of tips and advice about suitable foods for hedgehogs (and less suitable ones), how to create hedgehog friendly gardens and about removing barriers so they can roam freely looking for food and finding mates. There’ll also be information about how we can help our local hedgehogs throughout the year.
And, after the success of last month’s visit from the Harting Repair Café team, some Buriton volunteers will be on hand to start something similar here. Come along to find out more ...
There will also be the usual Monthly Coffee Morning selection of delicious homemade cakes and drinks available for a small contribution to cover costs. Everyone is welcome – a chance to see old friends and meet new ones!
