Posters around the village only tell half the story!
Penny Pettifor (Soprano) and Tom Cooper (Piano) are thrilled that they’ll be joined by Helen Downham (bringing the rich, soulful voice of the cello to the event) and by Simon Diggens (whose flute will add a soaring, ethereal sparkle to the afternoon).
The quartet will be presenting a journey through 300 years of the world’s most beautiful song, from the haunting beauty of John Dowland to the lush, romantic melodies of Schubert – with the flute dancing through the regal fanfares of Purcell and the cello taking centre stage for virtuosic solo moments by Vivaldi.
A special village event in St Mary's Church which promises to provide an hour of peace and beauty.
Admission is free with a retiring collection.
