Another local book: 'A History of Buriton'

Hot on the heels of the recent book about the Buriton Chalk Pits ('From Chalk to Cheese', published in April), here is another local book which is well worth reading: 'A History of Buriton'.

During the 1960s, 70s and 80s Elizabeth and Lewis des Brisay conducted some wide-ranging original research and interviewed a number of knowledgeable local residents to accumulate information for one of the first history books about the parish.

And Lewis' remarkable artistic aptitude brought their findings to life in a beautifully illustrated booklet.

Four editions of the book were printed - each in very limited numbers - and, with the passage of time, it is now felt appropriate to bring the publication to a wider audience.

Junius des Brisay is now able to offer copies of this excellent little book for sale for just £7.50.

The book is a reprint of the 4th Edition of this unique guide to the history of Buriton - with two new images appearing in print for the first time.
