LOCAL GROUPS COMBINE TO HELP THE VULNERABLE AND ISOLATED
Buriton Parish Council, the Neighbourcare Group and St Mary’s church have combined forces to help our older residents, the vulnerable and those who are self-isolating.
But we have no monopoly on wisdom – and all bright ideas are welcomed.
We have boosted Neighbourcare Buriton’s small but invaluable team of volunteers – but we are always looking for more volunteers (see: can you help?). We would particularly welcome assistance from younger residents: anyone in their 20s, 30s, 40s or 50s. Please contact Peter via 07769 691919, 01730 269034 or pillmeadhouse@btinternet.com if you think that you may be able to help in any way, however small.
We are offering help for people who may be isolated at home without family or friends nearby (see: we can help). We can arrange for shopping to be bought and left at your doorstep. You will only pay for your goods, there is no extra charge for this service. We can also visit chemists, provide transport for essential medical appointments, help with urgent supplies, post mail and offer friendly phone calls. We may also be able to arrange meals from our pubs. Just phone Peter on 07769 691919 or 01730 269034 to see how we can help.
We don’t want anyone to feel that they are on their own and we don’t want anyone to feel that they have to go out against any Government advice.
If you know of neighbours nearby (or others in the community) who do not have access to the internet, please draw this initiative to their attention.
More information will be added to this site as / when available please look here.
And, if you feel that you can offer any help, in any way, no matter how small you can also contact us via info@buriton.info
