Hard work in Nature Reserve for school children

A small group of volunteers has helped to restore the outdoor classroom area in the Chalk Pits Nature Reserve.

The area, alongside the Woodland Trail, provides opportunities for Buriton Primary School and other forest school activities could be developed in the future …

The volunteers, under the guidance of QECP Ranger Ashlea Walters, removed debris from felled ash trees and restored the attractive teaching area.

It is hoped that parishioners will now help to look after the area and prevent any potential misuse so that it remains a safe place for school visits long into the future.
