Special Fun Quiz Night at the Five Bells - Sunday 23 September at 5 pm

A particularly whacky evening in aid of a very good cause

Two of our villagers are bravely heading off into the jungle in November to raise money for the amazing Rosemary Foundation.

This is a local charity offering a hospice at home facility.

Fiona Bray and Jez Samworth will be facing heat, excessive exercise, snakes and insects previously unseen by Buritonians, as they trek onwards and upwards in the mountainous jungle area of Cambodia.

Let’s hope they survive and that they raise loads of money for this really good cause.

Explore the Dark Side of Buriton

Star-Gazing event at the Five Bells on Friday 17th February.

As part of a wider 'Dark Skies Festival', experts from the South Downs National Park Authority will be coming to the village again to explain the wonders of the thousands of stars that can be seen from Buriton.

Meet at the Five Bells at 6.30pm for a short introduction by star-man Dan Oakley before crossing to the Recreation Ground to use telescopes and binoculars. Dan will help everyone learn what we can see with just our own eyes and how to improve viewing opportunities from our homes. He will also be available to chat back in the Five Bells afterwards.
