Entries in the morning; Show in the afternoon
Buriton's popular annual village show will be held on Saturday 20 August and, once again, there will be two exciting venues:
- many of the celebrated displays and competitions for ‘best in show’ will be in the village hall, with lots of additional stalls on the recreation ground
- down the High Street at the Manor Barn you’ll find arrangements of some of the fruit and vegetable classes and other attractions
Refreshments will be available at both venues.
The popular theme of pollinators will be continued from last year – in step with the exciting project Buriton is hosting, aimed at encouraging us all to take steps to promote bees and other creatures which play vital roles by pollinating plants that bring us so many everyday things – from fruit and vegetables, to raw materials, essential oils and also fibres for making clothes.
But there’ll also be additional interest this year with displays of electric vehicles, e-bikes and ways of reducing your energy bills at home being demonstrated on the recreation ground: insights into saving energy, saving money and saving the planet.
