Buriton’s dark skies and the life they support

When the sun sets, Buriton comes alive in ways we rarely see.

The parish is fortunate to have truly dark night skies, including two Dark Sky Discovery Sites, in the South Downs International Dark Sky Reserve.

This illustrated talk by Elinor Newman of the National Park Authority will reveal the hidden world of nocturnal wildlife, the importance of our dark night skies, and how light pollution can disrupt feeding, breeding and navigation.

Discover why darkness matters — and whether there are things that we can do to help protect it.

In Buriton Village Hall.  Admission is free, with a retiring collection and all are welcome.
