An excellent series of films has been arranged for the autumn of 2013 with some very recently released films - and there is also an extra film this season, with a special introduction by award-winning author Michelle Magorian
September 6th: Summer in February
October 4th: English Vinglish
November 29th: Behind the Candelabra
In addition, and following her popular and inspirational talk in the village in February, Michelle Magorian is kindly coming back to Buriton to introduce an extra film, based on her touching book about a girl returning home to Britain after evacuation to America during the war:
?Back Home? will be shown on Wednesday 30th October
All films are shown in the Village Hall with doors opening at 7pm. Refreshments are available with the films commencing at 7.30pm.
There is an interval during which ice creams are available.
Tickets cost £5 each and can be paid for in advance for collection on the door.
Payments should be made to Sarah Marks (01730 262599) and tickets can also be obtained from the Post Office in the church during Friday opening times .
Tickets are usually available on the film night itself but this cannot be guaranteed. If paying on the night, having the exact money is very helpful.
If you have any particular views on types of films or a certain film that you may wish to see, please inform those on the committee and we will do our best to accommodate them.
Anyone who would like to attend any of the performances but has problems getting to the village hall or simply does not like the idea of going alone or returning to their home in the dark after the show - just contact any of the committee members and arrangements can be made.
