Covid has clobbered our show. Instead you can enter at buritonvillageshow.co.uk  For details…

We may not be able to gather as normal at the village hall, but you can still enter pictures of your fruit and flowers – and your lockdown experience – at a website we’ve made style especially for these strange times;

Post pictures, artwork or videos of what you’ve grown this season, and how you’ve spent lockdown.
Vote for this year’s winning entries – you decide!

You can upload anytime your creative stuff by following the simple instructions at the site devised by web-builder Alistair Martin.

If that’s a problem, don’t be put off; take your entries to the Five Bells, where Fran Vesey has kindly agreed to help anyone who needs their pictures scanned and uploaded.

You can exhibit photos, artwork, collages or movie clips (MP4 format) in any of these categories:

  • The best bit of my garden;
  • My veg patch;
  • My lockdown.
  • Entries from under-18s are especially welcome.

There is no entry fee.

On Saturday 1st August, voting begins. You simply ‘like’ the entries you rate most highly.
The winners of the popular vote will be confirmed on Saturday 8th August – the day we would have held the show in normal times.

Sadly pandemic restrictions forced us to cancel the village show we all love. The organising committee recognises that a virtual show is a poor substitute for the real thing. We apologise to our many talented exhibitors and loyal contributors for any disappointment.

We deliberately left this decision as late as possible, in the hope that covid restrictions would ease enough to enable us to go ahead. As we all know, things are moving in the right direction, fingers crossed. But alas, not fast enough.

We will make every effort to restore this popular village institution to its full fun and glory next summer.
In the meantime, we hope the virtual show will provide some fun and consolation. Can’t wait to see your images at buritonvillageshow.co.uk
