Want something different for Christmas? Ever struggle with Christmas Gift Ideas? Dislike the Christmas madness on the High Street?
This annual event in St Mary’s Church provides opportunities to stock up on Christmas goodies.
There will be a range of stalls run by local crafters as well as Buriton Primary School.
Various musical performances will add to the festive atmosphere.
As usual, the Post Office will also be there, so make use of it to get parcels sent off early.

Celebrating the beauty of the South Downs
At least one Buriton artist is featured in a new exhibition in Petersfield.
Exhibiting nearly 150 works by over 120 artists, Petersfield Museum & Art Gallery’s ‘South Downs Open’ exhibition runs from 22 October until the end of January.
Visitors will be able to enjoy paintings, drawings, prints, photography, sculpture, textiles and ceramics that draw inspiration from across the South Downs region: from Old Winchester Hill to Beachy Head in Sussex.
More details can be found here.
Raising funds for Alzheimer’s Research

There will be a prize for the best, wackiest and funniest decorated tree.
Traditional décor is fine: but how about thinking outside the box?!
Get together as a family or as a group of friends or as a business.
Over 150 enthusiastic hikers enjoyed wonderful scenery
The South Downs National Park Authority arranged this special event on 19 May: a seven mile walk from the Queen Elizabeth Country Park to Buriton and back.
Attracting diverse groups to appreciate the beauty of the outdoors and foster a sense of community is vital work for all Protected Landscapes and the SDNPA organised this event in partnership with the Muslim Hikers group as part of activities for National Walking Month.

This month there will also be a Table Top Sale. So, in the spirit of re-using and re-cycling, do bring some money in case you spot something useful and/or beautiful. And for the young and young-at-heart it’s hoped to put up the very popular Table Tennis table again.
