Villagers in Buriton's adopted community of Dominase - thousands of miles away in darkest Africa - are now learning more about life in Buriton.
Copies of 'Buriton - the book of the year' were recently taken to Ghana so that villagers there could find out more about life in Buriton - and about the people and events which help to raise funds for the African community.
Comfort Appiah, Chairman of the Dominase Village-to Village Group (who visited Buriton during 2012), was delighted with the book which was presented to her group.
?We are very grateful for the help and generosity provided by the Buriton Village-to-Village Group,? she said. ?This book will help us all appreciate the hard work that takes place in England - as well as helping us realise what an active community we are linked with. People in both countries are very lucky,? she added.
